Tom, I understand what you mean about Gandalf not wearing Glamdring, but answer me this: The book clearly states that Gandalf has no home and is constantly on the move. Therefore, where would he put Glamdring if he went without it?

It could be possible that he left it in Imladris (Rivendell) but since the book does not state it, I will assume he always carries the sword with him. Thanks
