Hobbit - Keep It Dark
Man Of Westernesse

Hi

Been an age since I posted here. Account got screwed up & every attampt to reset it failed until just now.

Good subject on the Hobbit. I've been a LOTR fan for a good 25 years but I have to say that on this question, after seeing PJ's treatment of the main course, I'd like to see a starter in the same vein. A light hearted Hobbit, with rivendell Elves singing their " hey ho! hey ho! ... " songs, and the general lack of seriousness throughout the story would not appeal to me nearly as much as a darker tale, a prelude to the LOTR including all the possible storyline departures mentioned in the article. ie. let it be a real background to the Ring and the Peoples/Characters to come.

aaaaaah , it's good to be back.
