The Hobbit
Jevic of Highgate

If Peter Jackson was to make The Hobbit into a movie, I dont think that it would be very hard at all to keep people intrested. I didnt think that LotR was very "dark" at all. But maybe we are just thinking of two diffrent meanings of the word.
But I would love to see Rivendell as a happy place, complete with the elves singing in the woods.

"O! Where are you going
With beards all a-wagging?
No knowing, no knowing
What brings Mister Baggins,
And Balin and Dwalin
down into the valley
in June
ha! ha!"

To me at least, It would show just how much of an evil effect Sauron had on Middle Earth. Before when he wasnt so powerful and the world was a happy place, then when later, when Arda was burdened with his evil.

But anyway, The Hobbit would be an awesome movie, as long as they did as with the LotR and stay "kinda" loyal to the original story. I can only imagin what Thorin and old Smaug would look like. One thing though, I would HOPE that they put Beorn in. Though I guess like Tom Bombadill he's not THAT important to the story. Yeah he played a great part in the Battle of Five Armies, but he's not as important as Gandalf or the dwarves.
