What a Great Idea!

The April Fools joker is onto something. So what if Peter Jackson didn't do the Hobbit. Wouldn't it be cool if, sometime in the future, different directors each made their own versions of the LOTR. Each would include different things, or change different things, or film it differently. As special effects get better, it would become possible to do cheaply.
