Delayed Responses; Alabama and the Passion
Aeven

Jevic, I know exactly how it is down here! Alot of people in my school think I'm occultist or something because I've memorized Fellowship and speak a good bit of Sindarin! (I'm only a 5 on the scale...ha) Gets annoying. My da's not really into it but I told him about Tolkien's strong faith and that the books showed a good bit of that and weren't bad, so he's accepted it.

I haven't seen the Passion (but I will - SOON!) I have seen behind-the-scenes shows, though, and my friends have seen it. It looks AWESOME! What really interested me was the interpretation of the Devil, and the scene where Mary sees her(him?) for that split second. I'm happy for it because it's sending out that evangelistical message STRONG.

On the fan fiction discussion... I think it would be great to see how other people would take Tolkien's works on into later years... as long as they stay true to him. Some of the paradies are funny, but most get out of hand and it just seems ignorant.

Jesus was a Radical.
