I don't believe that Tolkien was anti-feminist! I just thought it was funny how he has this Disney-like knack for killing off the mama.

I don't believe that he's racist, or satanist, or occultist, or anti-feminist, or whatever the heck else people are saying lately. so his main characters aren't women. So what? To be honest with you, and as a female myself, I don't like heroines so well as heroes. Maybe it's just the way they're written...maybe I need to find the right one, but I LLLOOOVVVEEE the LOTR and DO NOT think that it needs more women. Galadriel, Luthien, Arwen, these are enough...I like them. Eowyn, not as much. Maybe I'M anti-feminist. Or maybe I just think Eowyn should KEEP HER HANDS OFF ARWEN'S MAN!!

LOL. Who else can't wait for the Houses of Healing scene to be back in the ROTK?

And fanfic...c'mon, people, an occasional copycat is okay, but (depending on the subject matter) COME UP WITH YOUR OWN STUFF!

Tolkien worked for years and years on Middle Earth. Why add?
