Re: Zork, and Pullman Last Thought
Danny

I have plaid Zork, though the version I played was newer and wasn't text based. It was tremendously fun and absolutely hillarious. The version I played was similar to Mist. I thought it was an absolute crackup. My brother and I still have some of our favorite quotes and gags that we say from time to time that came directly from that game. So yes it is fun and thankyou for reminding me.

My review was not meant to say that I didn't enjoy Pullman's book. The story was fabulously well crafted and the characters were excellent. It is a great read and I did enjoy it. However the enjoyment of the book was lessened slightly by the pervasiveness of his agenda. I would have been ready to give it the same praise as my second favorite work of fiction were it not for that issue. I did find it interesting how the book set out to deliver a message about how to live and think while criticising religion for that very thing.
