Yeah Kat I gotta agree with you, there are no mysteries in life. When People say its a mystery its just because they dont have all the facts and/or imagination to see what is. All things can be known before you die, its not impossible, just highly unlikely, but that should not stop us from searching. Besides its the searching thats important, not the destination.
The reasons why, not the end result is the key. Like, its not the lie thats bad, its the reasons why we lie. Telling someone they look lovely when they dont is hardly bad, infact its good. Like I said the reason why something is done, added to the maxim "will it hurt anyone?" is the only way to weigh actions.
Must be something in the water over here that makes me ramble on so. Sorry.
Good and Evil, central theme of Middle-earth stories. Anyone read Paradise Lost...? Milton...? Some beautiful verses. "...make a heaven of hell and a hell of heaven..." you could see how this is reflected by Sauron at the end of the First Age. How could he go back to Valinor, his greatness humbled?!! Might be nice and shiny there, but how he would hate every second of his existence, knowing the power and freedom he had held. Mordor, may be dark and dusty, but here he could be himself. Be All He Could Be...
