Innovation
Annatar

Just occured to me that Elves would not be the most innovative beings ever. Seriously, when it comes to making things they make simple things beautiful, but they don't make anything ground-breaking. How long do they live? Pratically forever, yet you would think if such was the case that they would have created weapons to fight Angband/Mordor, weapons that would have swept the board clean. Not even a cannon. Swords and spears they can make but they can't, with the benefit of accumulated knowledge, come up with more modern weapons. Only Humans - and then only when HE guided them - could create great and powerful weapons. Missiles and powered ships. Elves, good at what they know but no imagination at all.
Good at subjugating Humans, bad at forseeing a prosperous future for all in Greater Mordor, under Pax Sauron.
They couldnt even make nice looking rings till they were shown.
Elves - trainspotters of Middle-Earth. The times I struggled to stay awake talking to Thingol of Doriath. Thats why they call me the Eye, because I could bearly keep one eye open, he was so boring. Nice wife though. Told you all aforetime that we had a "thing" once.
Ah yes...
*wipes a tear away*
Stepdad Thingol kept stopping me from seeing my daughter. Luthien has her fathers eyes.
Oh and that nonsense about me locking Beren up, I jailed the Elf because he was using my future son-in-law. Finrod wanted Beren to do all the hard work then steal the Silmaril. Truth is, Morgie was giving my Daughter and Beren a Silmaril as a wedding gift.

Anyways see you all later :) Ash Nazg...
