My Future Complaint
Danny

I have not looked into the extended dvd too extensively, and I have posted on this already, but in the spirit of preemptive complaining, here I go. If the wraith breaks Gandalf's stave in the EE, I will be very dissappointed. Gandalf breaking Saruman's stave will plant in the viewer's mind the importance of the stave and the possible idea of the stave being related to the wizard's strength. So to then have Gandalf's stave split by the Lord of the Nazgul is a serious blow to his status. It seems to me that there is ample evidence in the books to note that Gandalf the White was second to Sauron alone. He repels multiple wraiths from Faramir during that retreat, he stops the Lord of the Nazgul from entering Minas Tirith, and makes the mouth of Sauron look like a snivelling coward, not to mention splits Saruman's stave. So to me, a wraith breaking his staff would be an atrocity. (Crosses all ten fingers, and finds a way to cross his toes hoping that they don't do that in the EE).

p.s. Anybody know why they are waiting until December to release the EE? I would have thought that without the next LOTR related movie to take PJ's time, he would be able to get the EE put together more quickly. I guess his next project King Kong is to blame. Down with big apes attacking New York 8).
