Gimli Axe is a Replica...

I don't know how to post news, or even if I can, but I needed to tell ya'll somewhere...

The Axe of Gimli on sale on Ebay is NOT the original prop. I am about 98% sure. Here's how I know. Two things actually.

One: I am pretty sure that Gimli's Axe will be on display in Boston this Fall. 0_o So unless this axe comes with a paper saying that you must return it to Weta by a certain date, this is probablye fake.

Two: It says that this axe was won in a Hasbro sweepstakes of some sort. I remember this. It was a sweepstakes where you could win weapons from the movies, but these weapons were supplied by Blades by Brown! Don't quote me on this, it was a while ago and I didn't win, but I'm pretty sure.

So there's my "proof". Point number one is probably more reliable because I'm not exactly sure about point two, pretty sure tho.

Alright, I've gone on long enough. Side note tho, Blades by Brown is a great company. I have Aragorn's Ranger Sword from them. It is really, REALLY cool.
