Lilly
How do you mean, delivered a line horribly? As in, mispronunciations, or bad phrasing, or what?
I don't know...I won't say anything against her deliverance, I guess. But sometimes her accent was kind of...overdone? is that the word I want? probably not, but...and maybe that's unfair, as she is faking it (and doing well too), but something about her faked accent plus her purposefully lowered voice plus the potential melodrama lurking behind every line in the movie (I mean, nobody talks that way! It must have been hard) it all just too...I don't know. Too...something.
And then when she's crying over Frodo after the Flight to the Ford suddenly her voice is neither low nor particularly British as it is everywhere else. ...Anyway I wouldn't say she delivered her lines the best of everyone.
But you're right, everybody has at least one line that they don't deliver terribly well.
But then, whe ever talks just right in real life?
--On a similar note, you know how if you pause a movie for a moment, there's always that one moment that the actor is making a wierd face that you always somehow manage to catch?
As far as I've seen, in the LOTR there is not a single moment like that for Cate Blanchett. Not one. She's always being graceful (or in the middle of a negative film exposure freak-out, which shouldn't count as a 'wierd face'). Huh.
Yours.
