Orders
Annatar

Orders, orders we all have orders... you think that being told to go to bed is an order... to open fire on the defenseless... (Babylon 5 Londo, most probably misquoted)
Thorongil, soldiers cannot choose what orders to obey or not to obey (except where Human rights are an issue). For the greater good a few may have to die in order for the greater to survive. Hurins stand in the Nirnaith was stupid by his mens point of view. It was a death sentence, but the order allowed Turgon et al to escape. Certain missions are worth more than the men/women it takes.
sad but true.
Denethor was Faramirs Lord and steward, in the book it wasnt a headlong rush to disaster. It was an attempt to hold the flood of Mordor at the choke point of Osgiliath.
If Faramir had disobeyed that order, he should have been hung as a traitor.
Heh Heh... me Sauron... never! hehe

anywho better go do a little work :) Ash Nazg...
