That is a good question. Where did the bad Legolas dialogue come from? I mean they spent all sorts of time trying to make sure the elves seemed like these mystical, all knowing, wise, creatures then they turn Legolas into a boring character that runs around stating the obvious. Kinda ruins their whole "elves are perfect" thing doesn't it?
