Eonwe, about the best part of the movie trilogy. For starters TTT comes 3rd, well actually I'd have it in 5th place, but seeing as there are only 3 films...
TTT deviated too much from the books, for no good reason too many times.

ROTK, may, surpass FOTR, but this is dependent on the parts that extend it come December.

As for memorable scenes in FOTR, The Prologue!!! First and foremost. Others: Saurman telling Gandalf The Nine Are Abroad, with a hint of a smirk; Intro for El Balrog; slo-mo Fellowship fleeing after Gandalfs fall; The death of Boromir.....
FOTR has admittedly fewer epic scenes, but overall, the scenes are of a higher quality than the other two, mainly because FOTR has the greater character development.

Anyways this is a little silly, there is no "Best" movie. Just a persons favorite. We all have movies, songs, albums etc we love, that are truely terrible but for some reason, seems to hit a spot. Its great to say "This is my favorite because X Y Z" but each of us take different things from the movies that make them the best in our own eyes. When we have films of the calibre of FOTR, TTT and ROTK, judging objectively, it is really too close to call.

Food, eventually I got around to the Article Title. Lembas, I dont have the books to hand, but if memory serves, wouldn't one sustain a man for an entire day?
Soooo, would that mean that a cake of Lembas has around 2900 kilocalories?!! You can just hear the weight around the waist building up and the arteries clanging shut.
A thought....
Lembas packaged using Mallorn leaves.
M for Mallorn.
Golden Mallorn leaves.
Golden M...
Yup! Thats right Galadriel was the head of Middle-earths version of McDonalds. The logo, golden arches/M, food that makes people pile on weight.
Citizens of Mordor followed more of an Atkins diet. Meat, meat and some man flesh.

Anyways better head off :) Ash Nazg...

For People in the know:
(cant beat some Donegal Catch.....
"..you may be beautiful, but they are keeping my idea on file, ina filing chabinet"
"...I'd say he'd 'ave loved it! Who is Fionn mac Cumhaill by the way?...the big fella outa Killybegs...")
