At last, we understand one another, Frodo Baggins

I actually agree with most everything that people have written in response to my previous post. These are not direct quotes.
Annatar: There's no best and worst, only people's opinions. And sometimes people even like stuff for reasons that have nothing to do with its 'greatness.'
I agree. The 'wrong, dead wrong' comment was meant to sound intentionally silly. Sorry if it didn't come across that way. My favorite is RotK.
Everett(?): So FotR's highs aren't as high and its lows aren't as low as the other films.
I think this is how most fans feel. One of the reasons I posted was to point out that everyone seems to be judging the films by their WORST moments when picking a favorite. It's almost like process of elimination. Why not focus on their best moments? I thought this was [insert name of your country here] where we choose to focus on a person's best qualities and forgive his or her shortcomings!
Annatar: The caliber of the LotR films is so high that the differences between them are minor.
The only films you can compare a Lord of the Rings film to? Other Lord of the Rings films. Both because of their high quality and because they are just so different from everything else.
