Thranduil
Annatar

Gil-Galad appears only twice in the prologue. Once when the Rings are being handed out. Galadriel, Cirdan and Gil-Galad. Then later, as has been said, stabbing down on an orc with his spear (Aeglos ?). Apart from all this evidence, Gil-Galad would have been charcoal long before Sauron when on holidays. The Elf in question, might be a John Doe or might have been intended to be Thranduil. I forgot about the elves of Mirkwood in the Last Alliance. Less than 1/3 returned home, with their King, Oropher killed.

Still wish they had kept the demise of Gil-Galad in. Sauron could have been singing "Burning love" (Elvis), while he fried.
" ... I feel my temperature rising... flames are now licking my body..."
Ok, maybe not, but it would have been funny.

See you all later :) Be good and eat your man flesh (who needs veggies!!?!) ... Ash Nazg...

"Death to light to law to love, cursed be moon and stars above"
