Thanksgiving

By the time this is posted, it will most likely be Thanksgiving the good ol' U.S. of A., and I would like to take this opportunity to express my gratitude for this forum and all of its participants and all who read it. The opportunity to engage in debate (civil and otherwise) and discussion with all of you, or to just spout off every now and then among such fine people is a privelege which has been for me a source of joy and pleasure. Even the limited interaction permitted by the medium of the Forum with such an eclectic group of people with a broad range of views bound together by a love of Tolkien and his works has a source of enrichment in a way that could only be topped by somehow getting us together at some sort of gathering. Ultimately, I cannot quantify exactly how much I have been enriched by my involvement in the Forum, but I can say that without it I would be less than I am.

It has been my great pleasure to get to know and interact with you all even in this limited measure, and I hope it will continue into the future. After all, no one has put the kibosh on rumors of making The Hobbit into a movie.
