HHGG!
Bob Praz
I’m also looking forward to the movie adaptation of the Hitch Hiker’s Guide, and I also love Sam Rockwell. Nonetheless, I doubt the movie can actually be as funny and ingenious as the book. But I’ll be curious to see...
I saw the television series some years ago with my father (he had seen it before, and wanted me to see it too), but we haven’t been able to find it again since. So it does exist outside the UK, but apparently it’s still very rare. I actually saw the series before reading the book (which I’ve only read recently), and I still haven’t completed Mostly Harmless.
As for Terry Pratchett, someone has already highly recommended him to me when I mentioned I was reading Douglas Adams, so maybe I’ll be getting my hands on Discworld shortly.
Anyhow, it’s just cool to see who’s read it on this forum.
Until our next meeting.
PS: While we’re on the subject of alternate novels, has anyone here read the new book Eragon? I keep hearing about it, but I’m just wondering if I can find any opinions on it before I consider reading it.
