Funny accent? Try Michigans!
Farlas
I don't think the Irish have funny accents. I love the way Irish people talk!
I think the Mid-Western accent is something to be laughed at. If I typed how I talked it would look more like this: Hello, I'm frum Michigan, and Baddle creak is abou' my favri' ciddy. (faint sounding d/t sound on favorite.)The sta(t)e flow'rs the apple blossum. Mid-Westerners are horrible abou' saying all their ledders. Twenty minutes turns into Tweny, 'tt' sound turns into a 'dd'. Those of us that live closer to Canada say 'eh' or 'ey' (if you prefer) at the end of many sentences. I think some of it is the Yooper influence.
But I love accents! If I could master every accent of every english speaking persons, I would be very happy! Sorry about the rambling! I'm only half awake!
