Uh-oh. Looks as if we're gonna have a yes! no! did! didn't! argument. Annatar, our CIA has quite a history of screw-ups, and I wouldn't dismiss the possibilty of another. Also, I say again, while we didn't find a link to al-qaeda, that doesn't mean there can't have been one.
And precision...It's true nothing is quite a precision weapon, but comparing a gun to a nuke is absurd. (No offense, Bob. Unless of course you take offense at your analogy being called absurd, in which case you will probably take offense, because that just happened. But when I say no offense, I mean that I respect your opinion and think you just had one flop in a history of good ideas.)
And, yes, freedom fries, that was the dumnest idea of the century. People in Europe, please believe when I say many of us had no part in that disgrace to our country.
And about our relations with the French. France helped us in the Revolutionary War. Thank you France! We helped France in WWII. Good job us! None of this effects that fact that France has been rather disappointing in these last days. Hopefully they'll bounce back.
And speaking of France...Anyone read any Victor Hugo? (All the Europeons are probably laughing and saying "du-uh." Or maybe not. I don't really know if he's much better known over their than here.)
