May 4, 2005 Agree with you Bob! I really like British humor! I don't know if it's because we don't know what to expect, is it because they push absurdity to the extreme or what? Their humor is non conformist, it's refreshing! North American sitcoms...blah! It's always about sex and/or calling people names in their pointless lives and selfish behaviours...BUT, I like some of them like "Seinfeld" and "That 70's show". Oh, and "The Simpsons". But thats all. But I used to watch "Mr.Bean" and laugh myself stupid everytime! One that I miss is "Red dwarf"! Mother and I used to watch it all the time. But sitcoms, man! There is a new one almost every month now! And they are all alike! Troubled people dealing with life's little problems like: "Oh god! My 16 year old daughter is dating that punk kid that my ex-husband hates! I hope he does'nt slash my tires with those spikes on his head!(pre-recorded laughter)"...or "Oh Alex! Take me now! (big make out scene with an oooooooooooh!!! from the "audience") It's getting old! But what new idea could we work on? Tell me! Seems that everything has been done...
