movies and sitcoms and dramas, oh my!
Eonwe

Opalys, I feel the same way about most sitcoms out there. "It's always about sex and/or calling people names in their pointless lives and selfish behaviours." The one I really love is Cheers. The characters are A LOT more likeable than in most sitcoms today, and many of the episodes have a pretty low key plot. The humor isn't all based on the characters being neurotic or getting caught in some extreme situation.

As for films, there are three that I am constantly wowwed by how good they are every time I see them: LotR, Godfather I and II, and Schindler's List. Pretty common choices, but that's the truth. Of course, there are a ton of other great movies. A couple I especially like that I haven't seen mentioned here are The Bridge on the River Kwai, A River Runs Through It, Wag the Dog, and Fight Club.

How about the rest of you?
