Re:Loony Tunes!
Everett
Faerlas, if I had to choose, I would have to say that I prefer "The Munsters". I've always found them to be more believable, for lack of a better word. "The Munsters" has a bit more character development than "The Addams' Family", which seems dependant solely on being outlandish and absurd. Not that "The Munsters" isn't outlandish and absurd, of course. They just go beyond simply being that, if only a little.
As for my favorite Looney Tunes character, I've always been partial to some of the more minor characters. I've always had an affinity for the Road Runner, and I've come to appreciate Wile E. Coyote over the years. Still, a coyote falling off a cliff or getting crushed is only so funny so many times. A coyote falling off a cliff or getting crushed in the execution of various hare-brained schemes to catch a happy-go-lucky (and illiterate) road-runner is comic gold every time. I also really like Foghorn Leghorn (something of a kindred spirit of mine, though it sometimes takes longer for my mouth to start flapping than his) and Pepe LePew. The Goofy Gophers are also very funny ("Isn't television wonderful?" "Yes. And think of how much better it will be when we get electricity."), but they really don't have enough material for me to consider them one of my favorites. As far as antagonists go, I'm definitely partial to Yosemite Sam (The roughest toughest, rootenist, tootenist hombre to ever fire a six-shooter North, South, East, aaaaaaaaaaannnnd West of the Pecos!), with Henery Hawk being a close second.
Now, to bring this all back to LotR, I have two silly questions that should probably be left unanswered. First, if there were to be a Loney Tunes version of LotR, who should be the Ringbearer (nod to the poll question)? Second, what would have happened had Pepe LePew shown up at Helm's Deep?
