Spelling and Gas prices
Farlas
Annatar, It is spelled Minnesota. It's a weird name for anything, and it has a weird spelling.
I am aware of the gas prices over there. That is insanity, and it also explains why everyone drives minicoopers and micromachine size cars over there. We are the land of the big trucks and SUV's. Must say, the car companies are dumber than bricks when it comes to gas prices and such. The higher gas prices get, the bigger they make the vehicles. Very stupid... They did that in the seventies as well.
The reason I complain is because we're too stupid to start drilling in Alaska. And guess what, we found more oil in the Gulf of Mexico. Another fun fact I learned recently is that we havn't opened an oil refinery in thirty something years. We should have dirt cheap gas prices, but we are slaves to the Saudi's. This would help you all over there as well! If we drilled more in Alaska, then started drilling in the Gulf, we could ship to you, possibly reducing your gas, sorry petrol prices as well! Maybe not, don't know.
Anti-french sentiment in Minnesota... If you want to see it at it's fullest, go to Texas. I saw a few t=shirts that said "Texas is Bigger Than France". But it is everywhere. (I wanted that shirt! but it was four sizes to big!) Someone started selling "I hate the French Vanilla" Icecream, with other such flavors as USS Chocolate BattleChips and such like that. I wanted the I Hate The French Vanilla, but I couldn't afford it... bummer.
Yes, I'm starting something...
Question! What do you guys over there call carbonated beverages. We call it pop, but nobody else seems to.
Enough rambling for tonight! Namariƫ!
