Well, erm, uh, well... yes! There was some anti-french sentiment! Just a little bit though! It does cheese me off slightly when some country that we bailed out twice in the past century and didn't make them pay for it (coughGERMANYcough!) then turns on us when we call for their aid in a global war on terrorism tells us to go jump in the Atlantic, well I do get a little cheesed. Not that I hate the french or germans, I like the french and germans! I do have blood from both, so I can't hate them. But it is not just history, it's current events that force me to put marks down against them. For instance, helping terrorists with weapons (coughFranceandGermanycough) does not sit well with me. That is why they did not help us. They'll deny it, our media will, but that's the truth! EVIDENCE IS THERE!

Love to debate you on the Suez canal, but I do not remember what all happened and didn't have time to research it before I wrote.

Must laugh a little by the way at your car comment. I can honestly say I've never seen a chunk VW. Now BMW, Mercedes, and Toyota get close, but are on the small side of large according to American standards.

As far as American preoccupation with size, well I think it could be summed up in the following way: we have the space, we have the money, we have the room, and we can! LOL!

BTW: Your little quote at the bottom looked familiar... sounds Churchillish. Probably wrong, but oh well! I guessed anyway!

Elendur, I had heard of soda and softdrinks, but I must tell you, soda is the white stuff in the orange box with picture of the arm holding a hammer on it. LOL! Just teasing you! Frankly, I havn't heard a name for the stuff yet that sounds right with it. Everything sounds horribly incorrect. You have only ever heard it called pop in old movies? I never heard it anywhere outside of Michigan. Strange...

Everett, you definitly sound wiser than most at any rate. Defintily a smart one you are. Wow, that sounded like Yoda! I try to think through stuff, but my mind works slowly, very VERY slowly!
