Annatar, Annatar, Annatar! What are you talking about with pure capitalism? America does NOT have Pure captialism, but we right from the center (if that makes sense). It depends, if you have a country where you are not limited by social status you may work to achieve a higher education by being employed by the self same wealthy people. You make it sound as though captialism does not allow for movement up and down between the classes. It is not the place of government, according to our constitution, to care for those less fortunate. It is the job of the church and of society. It can be accomplished better through charities. However, our government has become far more socialistic in the last sixty years, and we are required to pay the government to care for others. Even with this type of taxation, America is one of the most generous peoples. Whenever you see a news story about some tragedy, people call in asking where they can send money to help, it is ALL people, not just the wealthy that give.

Hey Annatar, do you have any brittish blood, particularly from the County Kent? Just wondering...

--Side note--
Haliburton, the only American company that does the work those people do. It was either Haliburton, or a French company that didn't want to help us. (That was so totally them, not me! Pure coincidence they were French!)


Everett, once again, you hit the nail on the head and hard! MAJOR KUDOS! My mother is going to look into the global warming thing once the ice age strikes that was predicted when she was a girl. Oh, interesting litte fact I came across, apparently some scientists did a study and lo and behold, our cars, our factories, our atmosphere is too clean and we need to pollute it a little bit lest the sun burns a hole in our atmosphere and we all shrivel up and die. What these scientists fail to realize is that for the first however many thousands of years the earth existed, these things did not. Which leads me to wonder why these people are authorties on the subject. So I say humbug to global warming and the next iceage.

Opalys, Yay! No hard feelings here either! I accept your apology as well. I agree, you can't judge a people by their government. I shall say no more on the subject... At least, until I forget. Another fatal flaw of mine, forgetfulness!

By the way Opalys, just so you know, um, I'm not a guy. I think you think, and possibly a few others, think I am. I'm not. I'm a girl;D If everyone did think I was a girl, then I feel like an idiot... but oh well!
