Money money money
Annatar
Faerlas, I never said the US had pure Capitalism (Norway is closer), I was just talking in general.
My brother is the right person to talk to in relation to global warming. Global temperature has risen faster in the past 60 odd years than at ANY time past in the Earths history. Global warming results in higher crop yields in one part of the world, in another it destroys with freak weather.
Burying ones head in the groud will not make it less real.
And yes I was born in Kent.
Yes the US is pretty generous with her money. I hated to see people critises her after the Tsumami. She dug deep. It has to be noted that relatively speaking, other countries dig deeper. On a Per capita scale, if memory serves right the Netherlands donates the most... the US comes in 7th, Ireland a bit behind that still.
Sad to see Bush say no to Blair and his groovy plans for Debt relief.
Oh hum
Truth is, the sad truth is people are mostly dumb and selfish. We hope the laws of the land are instilled with the good in us. These laws made by us, for us, guide us through the selfish times. So taxation for less fortunates is an extension of our will. That is what we want. Even if we do grumble in the selfish corners of our hearts.
See you all later :) Ash Nazg...
