Clarification of a Question

I believe Diana thought that I was asking something Eowyn and Aragorn crossing swords that implied I thought it was in the book. My question actually is if anybody has any ideas why they cross swords in the movie. I also find it strange that Aragorn is so quickly tricked or beaten by her, when he obviously is a master with the sword himself. That is not as big a deal as why they ever had a sword duel in the first place. FIrst of all, Aragorn left his sword outside the hall in the book, and I don't think Theoden would have wanted a duel to be in his hall. Then again it could have been at another location. I just don't get it. Any ideas why PJ is adding that to the movie?
