It bothers me!
Farlas

I don't know how many of you all have been following the whole Chronicles of Narnia thing, but it seems to have been given the title "The NEW Lord of the Rings". It bothers me as a Tolkien fan and a Lewis fan. To compare Narnia and Middle-earth, in my mind, is like comparing peas and apples. (To borrow Bilbo's phrase) They are similar in that they have strange creatures in them, but it ends there. The media has always bothered me, and this whole, "NEW LOTR" thing is driving me up the wall!

Okay, so maybe they mean in the realm of special effects, well, if it is that earth shattering, then compare it to STAR WARS Episodes IV through VI. It is all very annoying. Oh, and if there are any die-hard Narnia fans here, get your rocks ready to chuck at Andrew Adamson. He may be the next Peter Jackson as far as killing books goes; acceptable in some areas, unpardonable in others. I have a love/hate thing going with him at the moment. Set pictures look awesome, but the white which is a lovely peach shade, not white! Grr...

All right, now that I've Narnia vented I'll close.
Namarië!
