As I promised.
Farlas

Embarassing moments. Yes, I've had a few in my short and boring life, but there is one in particular that I am rather fond of telling...

...I was two. (Just keep reading!) My mother was at a Lady's Fellowship meeting at church, and I was home with my dad. He woke me up, put me in the baby seat on the back of his bike, and rode the two miles to church with me. Once at the church he let me out of the bike seat and *memory is a little fuzzy at this point* I ended up in the mud under a swing. I was covered in mud and nasty, so dad took me into the church fellowship hall where the Lady's Fellowship was convening. They were done with their meeting and cleaning up when we came in the door. *memory fuzzy again* I ended up in the kitchen sink of the church in my little diaper. The whole time my mother and three or so memebers of the Lady's Fellowship were laughing, I thought, at me.
-For many, many long years I hated that memory. Whenever I saw the picture of that incident (what kind of person brings a camera to a Lady's Fellowship? They don't do anything that interesting!)I would promptly hide it again, under something large that was never moved with lots of dust bunnies. Finally, one day the picture resurfaced, and I could not hide it again, for my mother was right there, picking up the picture and saying,"Do you remember..."
-"Yes."
-She was still laughing. Finally, after many, many long years I admitted to my extreme disdain for that memory and picture. The whole time my mother was laughing at me... and then I said, "...and y'all were laughing at me..." "No we weren't," my mother replied. "We were laughing at your father for thinking your pajama's were an outfit." I turned six shades of red...

That is one. The other one is when I tried to convince my uncle that Tarzan was a real person. That was humiliating...

Anyway, so perhaps they aren't much, but that's what they are.

-Faerlas Ava
