tattoos and feminism
Julie

On my left shoulder I have a big red rose with tribal around it, on my right shoulder I have a black rose with a skull in its center. Below the back of my neck I have an angel's head with wings and under it's written "Fiat Lux" its latin meaning "May the Light be". I don't mind talking about my piercings because they were all on my face! ;~ p At fifteen, my left eyebrow was pierced (by my friend! With an Icepack and a big needle). One time I got my nose pierced. I don't have them anymore, kept getting infections. But now my lower lip is pierced. For the fighting, yes sometimes they are necessary. When I was in elementary, I was bullied around, got beaten up every week because I've never defended myself. So it was easy to beat me up and I was afraid to squeal so I kept it all inside. Maybe that's why I'm agressive and hard to approach.

Faerlas, I just want to say that I am a feminist but not a radical one. I don't hate men and I love REAL men. I just defend our rights. Women should do whatever the heck we want to and if we have the same jobs as a men, we should have the same salary. I dunno how it is in your countries but here in Canada, men make more money than women for the exact same job. Even for jobs that were for women in the old days, for example, nurses. Men nurses make more money than women nurses. Now that is wrong! Men should do the jobs they wanna do and the same goes for women but we should have the same earnings. But as a feminist, I don't want men to be more feminine, I just want equity and respect. Because sadly, still a lot of men think that we are inferior, crazy or stupid and not strong and if we are, they call us lesbians, butches or frustrated.
