Simple Misunderstanding

Yeah Farlas, the more I think about it the more I'm convinced its the meaning of the word prayer that we are tripping over. In my own head prayer and worship can exist separately. Prayer being another word for talking (with an eye to the religious)
Current Catholic teachings on this are pretty clear, and draws a line between Worship of God and "talking" to Mary and the Saints with a view to asking God's help in a certain matter. Any deviation in this, any blurring of the lines, is no fault in the actually teachings themselves but rather in the failure to educate Church members correctly or sufficiently. All Churches, all faiths succumb at some point, in some places, to do this correctly. Alas we are human, and so we will never get it all right. But we can try, and we can be vigilant.
