Farlas, ahh you like the idea of multiple (perhaps infinte) Universes? Yeah I dig it too. Different laws of physics etc in each.

Hmmmmm if there is an infinite number of them then somewhere a real Middle-earth exists with characters just like in the book.

Erm was that "Signs" you were refering to or "War Of The Worlds"... spose same thing goes for both.
Orson Wells...?... H.G. Wells wrote the "War Of The Worlds" - I'd have loved to see it made into a film exactly as in the book, but then I spose some movie makers would figure it wouldn't make money. Some audiences dont like anything set pre-1939 and not set in the U.S.A.
Some, not all. Its not US bashing or anything but recent Hollywood movies are decidedly dodgy when it comes to history. WWII movies basically. Saving Private Ryan was a good movies but did give the impression the US were the only ones on the Allied side, but ya could forgive that seeing as it was a story contained withing the US army.

Cows are lovely.... well Charolais are. Not meantempered at all. Cats though...well if they were all taken by Aliens, no great loss.


Cant say as I've seen any Baptist Churches around here. Mostly C of I or Presbyterian.

Irish Folk Music... dangerous ground. Trad music is, well, it can be good at times if done right. There is alot of irish country western, must appologise to the world for that evil.

Politican situation. In the Repulic here, we have a coalition government- 2 parties Fianna Fail and the PDs (progressive democrats). In opposition Fine Gael, Labour, the Greens, Sinn Fein and other Independants.
Currently the economy is roaring ahead. There are plenty of things that need fixing though. Health care for one, Child care....
Fianna Fail and the PDs are a bunch o'ejjits. Cant wait till the General election. 'Course hopefully by then Fine Gael and Co will have gotten their act together.
Still, we are meant to be the most desirable place in the world to live. all things considered.
Supposedly.

Up North, well, all things go slowly. The Provisional IRA seem to be slowly going away. Paisley looks for more reasons not to have Taigs in government and the rest are caught in limbo. It'll eventually get sorted but itll take generations for the hate and distrust to melt away.
Funny thing, even at the height of the Troubles, the Republic escaped most of the killings, but to the rest of the world, it appeared to be an Islandwide war.
But then alot of the world think the island of Ireland is a single political entity and/or we are part of Britain. Duhh!!
Course the North is part of the UK but for some reason they lump the rest of us in as well.

A good movie for you to watch, rent etc... "Michael Collins" Liam Neeson, Aidan Quinn... It'll give you an idea of where the current nonsense somes from. Also the backstabber De Valera and his cronies in Fianna Fail.
