Balance
Annatar

Farlas, I see what you mean about "doing an Elijah" it should be easier now with the help of the Holy Spirit than before. Hmmmmmmm
But all things must be in balance. If God the Holy Spirit brings greater guidance, strength etc the Enemy must be allowed greater leeway to tempt to maintain the balance.
Or so I figure.

Yeah I know wrong is wrong, what I was getting at was that Governments are the proxy for the majority will. All people are flawed, sinful, therefore all governments are flawed, sinful.
Only those without sin can cast the stone.....
If we support the death sentence, we are responsible for the end of a life (guilty or not), but more than this, we are now responsible for the the possible failure for a person to repent - achieve Heaven. This more than the loss of a mortal life is what is important, and why the death sentence, war etc is so totally wrong. We are not wise enough, pure enough to take on this burden. It is God's and God's alone.

Hmmmm the "Judas Gospel" I saw the National Geographic on it... Interesting to a point but methinks the Church Fathers made a good call cutting it from the New Testament. It is a tad gnostic in its outlook.
Still, I do believe poor Judas just messed up bigtime. I dont believe me willfully wanted Jesus dead or imprisoned. I think he just wanted a confrontation to take place tween Jesus and the High Priest n Co. At this confrontation Jesus would naturally reveal himself as the Messiah and put down all opposition. A free and holy Israel.
Imagine the crushing guilt after it backfired!!
Poor man, he has my prayers.

Anywho see ye all later :) Ash Nazg...

P.S. Will yas all be going to see "The DaVinci Code" ? (or is it out over there already?)
Enjoyable coffee table read even if its a loada b....
