Burn Gondolin Burn!
Annatar

Yeah Opalys, methinks having students in school read at least The Hobbit, is a great idea. I know some schools in the UK do it. Over here... nah.
At the very least it might inspire/kick start their imagination.

Tries to remember... was it in Lost Tales that Turgon was advised to attack Morgoth instead of just sitting tight? And this was then watered down in the Silmarillion, to just get them to "up sticks" and get out before the hammer fell...?

Ohh found out this little bit that Mr Bush said at the anniversary celebrations for D-Day that, "World War II started in December of 1941."
Allegedly

I got it wrong it wasnt a State of the Union address...
Leastways I found one website mentioning it (first heard about it on the radio). Maybe Im using Google wrong...
Still, Ill keep looking just to make sure that it isnt a damned leftist, peacenic, tree hugging, European, antiallthingsamerican, lie.

JOKE!!!Couldnt resist :)

hiho hiho its off to google I go.....
See you all later :) Ash Nazg...
