Part 2
Farlas

I ran across some stuff in church today that helps me prove my point. So...

In Genesis 1 it gives a clear order of events and ends with the created world. In chapter two it gives details. To say chapter 2 is when all things were created, you are pretty much saying God made the world once, then made it again in illogical order. It just doesn't make sense to say that.

I found a few versees, and I think it is very worth while to consider in this argument. Job 38:1-4 "Then the LORD answered Job out of the whirlwind, and said, Who is this that darkeneth council by words without knowledge? Gird up now thy loins like a man; for I will demand of thee, and answer thou me. Where wast thou when I laid the foundations of the earth? declare, if thou hast understanding."

I acknowledge that no humans (including me) were there when the earth was formed, but God was. Also, Job was born before Moses and did not have the book of Genesis. God told Moses directly what to write about creation. Now we may know better what happened because we have Genesis.

With this in mind, I believe God CREATED (not permited the evolution of) the heavens and the earth. I believe HE SPOKE it into existance and FORMED man out of the dust of the earth and breathed into him the breath of life. I believe the Genesis account is true and accurate because God said it and that settles it.

Why not take God at His word? Why doubt, question, or add on to what He said? Is His word not enough? Is His authority not supreme?

Why do we try to add on to or "improve" God or His works, methods, and ways? I think we do this because we do not understand. We are afraid that we cannot have total control and He does. We are afraid He may accomplish marvelous things through us. Foolishly we push Him away because we are afraid of His magnificent glory. We are scared He may actually have something better than our imaginings for us. That is why I think you believe Theistic evolution. Not because God is all powerful and could have used it, but because God didn't use it and it shows we have no power over His will.

Humans like to have control. To fully surrender and allow someone else to control us is against our very sin nature. We like to have control, and we can't stand letting even God have it. Shame on us as His Children.
