Palm face!
Farlas
*schwack!*
Okay, Annatar, I'm starting with somewhere in the middle-bottom of your post. The Curse is what was put upon the human race when Adam and Eve were kicked out of the garden of Eden. That man should live by the sweat of his brow, that woman should have pain in child birth, and over all that life hear should be no picnic. To paraphrase. :o)
"Number 2 is an abomination. Any God, any being, who would punish the innocent (even for the sins of others) is not worth following. Indeed they should be thwarted at all costs."
If you really think this, then I suggest you denounce God, the Catholic church, and all Christianity because that is what happened. Adam sinned, thus, the world fell into sin. Man was cursed to work and to die. The Bible even says that by one man sin entered the world and death by sin. You must pay because Adam sinned. He sinned, we were all flawed, thus condemned to death. That's why Jesus came to earth and die for our sins.
Where did I get that the sun has been shrinking? Well, unless my mind is completely gone, I do recall learning that as the sun emmits solar flares and all that jazz, it shrinks a little. I have heard this from secular and Christian scientists.
Actually, random little fact: The story of I think it was Joshua, and the battle on the day that God held the sun still, was proven by measuring how much the sun shrinks. Scientists were studying the sun and doing some figuring, and realized there was a whole day unaccounted for in the sun's life. A couple of Christian scientists were there, so they cracked open their BIbles and showed them where the missing day went.
Even if evolution is a gradual change, wouldn't you reach some point where the animal was not really functionable?
Oh, a question: Is there not some law of nature/physics, that says everything is growing towards total or more entropy? If this is true, shouldn't the big bang gone from chaos to more chaos? I mean, it went from the chaos of an explosian to order, shouldn't it have been the other way about? From chaos to increased chaos?
All for the moment!
