Needful things...
Annatar
Not sure why but the Stephen King title just popped into my head....
Anyways, Farlas, it just appears as if you see evolution as being totally devoid of God. Strange. It is only a tool God uses. Used and directed by Him to fashion what He wants. As for not taking God's word for what happened when the world began, I, We, do. But we recognise God is talking to us in easy to understand language, like a parent decribing to a child where babies come from. Trying to explain DNA, mutations etc to the people of the ancient middle-east would be like teaching algebra to a stick. Indeed methings a stick would actually begin to grasp simultatious equations faster...
We humans like to think we are so clever, in truth, we are dumber than a bag o hammers.
Why use evolution and not literal Genesis?
Why does God not snap His fingers and have all humans follow his Word, why does He not stop babies dying or evil hurting the good or indeed any other multitude of things.
Because He has his own reasons (and most things are our responsibility to fix but anyways).
Its not up to any of us to say "it should be done this way" or "its easier that way".
We are in no way wise enough to do this.
"Slan" is basically "Bye", "farewell" in Irish
"Slan Abhaile" (Pron: slan a'wah'leh) - "Safe Home" (as in get home safely)
"Slan go foil" - "bye for now"
"Pogue (Pog) Mahone" - "Kiss my ..." Cool drunk band too. I have a sneaky feeling Opalys would dig em bigtime - "The Pogues"
"If I Should Fall from Grace With God"
or indeed
"Rum Sodomy & the Lash"
Enough for now,
see ye all later :) Ash Nazg...
