Colonial Rebels...
Annatar

Celebrating 230 years of freedom.... really?!
I saw an interesting TV history program by the BBC (I think) covering the American War of Independence a few months ago. While allowing representation in Parliament would have been a wise thing to give (kinda), the revolutionaries did give the impression that they were being taxed/ripped off to the hilt when they weren't. The standard of living in Boston in those days waas higher than that of London. Which could just mean everyone was being ripped off. Goes to show nothing changes.
Course the Britsh had made an agreement with the Natives not to expand westwards, which peeved alot of the wealthy in the colonies, who wanted more and more land...wealth.
So a few greedy agitators stir up the common folk with lies of robbing taxes. The British respond as always with big feet and terrorise everyone. So quicker than you can say "Paul Rivoire" we have a big revolution.

Hmmmm question is, did the Colonies win the war or the British lose it? Methinks the latter.

Interesting to see what would have happened if it had failed...
Maybe like Ireland the Colonies would have raised rebellion every generation thereafter. Hatred of the British handed down, father to son, mother to daughter.
With a delay to expanding west and annexing land, mayhaps Mexico would be alot bigger and a great deal more powerful than it is now.

Too many what ifs eh?

The R.S.A. of the British Empire/commonwealth
Royal States of America???
Locally elected state governors/assemblies with powers of law and defense still residing in Westminster (which have token colonial representation).
All of which bow to the King.... who these days just happens to take the name - Annatar...

Ahhhhh the power.... THE POWERRRRR!!!!!! HAHAHAHAHa..... oh

anyways...

See you all later my subjects :) Ash Nazg...

PS. to those around the world who know me as Master:- execute initiative No:1045.
"Because I could not stop for death, he kindly stopped for me..."
