Julie, yeah you are right. Okay from now on I'm gonna try and not mention anything not Tolkien related.
Well okay I may ask how people are and stuff but no biggy topics as such.

So for my part I've shutdown the non-tolkien major topic making/arguing part of my brain.

Did I dream it or did someone who may have visited the forum ask about LOTRs and Magic? That a relative of theirs had frowned upon it as teh works of the devil, because it contains reference to magic and magic is the work of evil?

As far as I can see, there is no magic in LOTRs etc. Its just something the characters can do. Okay badly explained. I spose its like a 6th sense, just and extra faculty.
Make ANY sense??!!?

I think Galadriel said something along those lines when explaining it to Sam. People use the word "Magic" to describe the deceits of the enemy and the work of the elves (Wait just one min! Elves ARE evil!!!! lol).
