Wow, so I guess I'm not the only one! Lolllll! I thought that I may have missed something while reading. Rex's made some very interesting points! Makes you think...Too bad Tolkien is not around anymore, we could have asked him who was old Tom. Hey, do you think that if Tolkien was still alive he would have come here?

As for Glorfindel, I don't remember reading about him. But then again, there are alot of characters to remember!Lollll! It's like the Holy Bible! (winks at Farlas). As for why PJ changed Glorfindel for Arwen, perhaps he judged that her character could have been more exploited. Maybe to please women too because when you make a successful movie, you need to make sure to please as much people as possible. Remove Arwen and you only have Galadriel and Eowyn for the women to identify with. Nothing wrong with these characters but I mean you have the choice between a weird elven witch and a kind of warrior princess. And they are both blond! Lolllll! Arwen is a brown haired beauty who is a 100% feminine and romantic. But I cannot identify with any of them, I can only indentify with hobbit women! Lollll! Exept that I'm tall and I have straight hair!;~) Btw, uruks should take better care of their hair...gees! few years ago I had hair like that, long, dark and tangled up...pointless comment! Sorry! Must be my headache medicine... But really, watching the trilogy you feel that PJ really enjoyed doing so, it was not only for the glory. It was for his pleasure too.

Back on topic! (Rainy day so I yak alot!) About the attitude of the elves, indeed they sing and laugh alot, eating, drinking and dancing. In the movies they are so..."gothic"!! Except for Legolas and perhaps Haldir...the rest of them, dress them in black, add a few piercings and boom! Goths! Lollll.

Glad you are enjoying your classes Farlas! Annatar, do you get angry clients sometimes? I did all week! Grrrrrr!! The supervisor gave me a warning because I yelled at a customer lolllll...that...that..."orc" kept yelling at me for no reason! He even called me a crazy...!! Anyway. Part of the job I guess!
