What Arwen Gave to Aragorn
Narya

The jewel which Arwen gave to Aragorn is the great and magical Elven jewel called the Evenstar (a name by which Arwen is also often known) and it symbolises her beauty and lonevity. In giving it to Aragorn to wear on his great journeu into shadow, she gives him also her heart and her life (I found this in Jude Fisher's "The Fellowship of the Ring-Visual Companion"). This is a bit different of the novel, in which Galadriel gives the great green jewel to Aragorn at the time when the Fellowship was leaving the Golden Wood ( that jewel belonged to Galadriel who gave it to her daughter,Celebrian, and she gave it to her daughter Arwen. Arwen left it in Lothlorien, in Galadriel's hands, to be given to Aragorn as a sign of her love for him). Because of this precious stone Aragorn was known as Elesar. Arwen also made a flag, black with seven silver stars and one white tree, the signs of true king of Gondor. This flag was brought to Aragorn by Arwen's brothers Elladan and Elrohir.

I also have few questions and hope that someone will answer me:

Will Elladan and Elrohir appear in "The Return of the King"? I would love to see them!

Could it be that Arwen appears instead of them?

What happens with Narsil? According to the book, Aragorn carries Narsil since they left Rivendell, but that doesn't happen in the film.

For the end, about the efforts of some people to change the name of "The Two Towers" - I have newer heard something so stupid, ridiculous and cynic! What should we expect next - some crazy republicans will try to change the title of "The Return of the King" because they are afraid that somehow, in some strange mysterious way the film will bring back a monarchy in their Republics!
