Theory on Dragons and Much More
Redhorn

I think it is possible that dragons could have been mutated dinosaurs. Tolkien never mentions such ancient creatures in the books, but since his writings are a mythical pre-history, it is concievable that he could have concieved such origins for the dragons. If you think about the time-line of the Silmarillion, there is a vast unmeasured period where time hadn't yet been concieved. Perhaps the Valar saw the evolution of Dinosaurs come and go like a distant memory.

Speaking of the Silmarillion, I think that if it were to be made into a film, it should be split up. The book is so vast that it could be made into three or more films. The first could be about the creation of Earth and the Valar. The second could be about the Elves and the battles against Melkor. And the third could be about the rise of men and the growing power of Sauron. And of course all the people associated with the LOTR movies would work on these. Although I'm sure Peter would be happy to pass on it.

I think someone should start a petition to get Mr. Jackson to make a movie version of The Hobbit. I think it would be ruined if anyone else did it. Well maybe not.

I love these books, I love these movies, I love this website, and I hope this makes it to the Debate section. Thank you for bering with this long ass letter! -Redhorn-
