Very quickly for Forest Dweller, it states in the Silmarillion that in the time after the great lamps of the Valar were destroyed but before the appearnce of the Elves huge beast roamed the earth, perversion of Morgoth with horns and teeth, and that the eath was dyed with blood [dinosaurs?]. Later we learn that the Wargs and werewolves are real creatures who have had corupted spirits placed within them. Put two and two together and I suppose Morgoth got a hold of some fo his more powerful reptillian perversions [he can NOT create] and gave them to the possesion of other corrupt spirits, possibly lesser fire spirits, to create the Dragons. Other ideas?
