To Sarah, Also a Question...
Wild Child
Sarah, as much as I'd like to get away from the never-ending subject of Balrogs, I don't think the publishers of this website would post anything that's not Tolkien related. This forum is dedicated to the upcoming films & people's opinions about them. Personally, I wouldn't want to read about or discuss anything in this forum that didn't have to do with the films themselves. It would seem a little strange, kind of like going into a donut shop and looking for a pair of socks to buy.
Something that intrigues me about the LOTR story, are the other 19 rings that were made. I know that Gandalf has the Elven ring of fire, and that Galadriel has a ring, but I was wondering if anyone knows what the other rings do, their powers etc...
Also, another thing Sarah, I totaly disagree with you about Samwise being "not too bright." I think he is very wise, and very bright. He is a loyal friend to Frodo, and just because a character is tagged as a sidekick doesn't mean he's not just as brave, or just as smart. In fact, it seems that Sam is even better, and wiser at some things than Frodo. After all, who can throw apples from long distances and hit right on target, and take on a spider 10 times his own size? Also remember that Frodo makes the BIGGEST mistake in the very end (I won't spoil it for those of you who haven't read). Just read the chapter "the choices of master Samwise" and I think you'll change your mind about him.
