Sauron's Uruks
Annatar

Just something that was said here got me thinking. Loremaster, said that Saurumans orcs were more powerful than Saurons. just wondering where did it ever say that? maybe im wrong, but i figure someone who is more powerful, more steeped in good ol' fashioned evilness would create better Uruks... Sauron. ok so sunlight may have been a bit of a drag for Sauronic Orcs but they would still have been alot more powerful. Besides, as for the sun they had Sauron to provide ample cover for them, Mt Doom etc. Maybe Loremaster refers to Ugluk ~ Grishnack (sorry bout the spelling). it would be unfair to say all Sauruman's orcs were like Ugluk and all Saurons like Grishnack. Both sides had different breeds of Orc. Uruk's being the "stormtroopers" sota speak. Orcs like Snaga ~"slave" for, well, slave activities, or tracking etc. Its my humble opinion, right or wrong, that Sauruman was like a child in comparison to Sauron. As the book itself says that Isengard was turned into a slaves flattery of his master's works. While Sauruman and his army were powerful, they were but a shadow, a childs imitation, of the true master of middle-earth, the benevolent Sauron the merciful.
