Tom Bombadil
Samwise Lover

I think that Tom Bombadil being cut was okay. If you read The Letters of J.R.R. Tolkien, then you'll find that in one of the letters that he wrote he said that Tom's part was basicly pointless, and could be cut. Plus, I think that even though I loved the movie alot, an exstra hour would not be good, because it was all ready hard enof to fit the three hour movie into my day.
