LotR Movie Favorites
D.C.

My favorite characters: Gandalf, Boromir, Gollum, Frodo, Strider, Legolas. Don't you just love how they depicted Gollum? :-)

Favorite performances: Gandalf, Frodo, Boromir, Bilbo.

Who I didn't like: Arwen and Galadriel. I would have preferred someone more delicate and more princess-like for Arwen, and someone less scary for Galadriel. I liked Cate Blanchett's voice, but she looked ugly in this movie.

Overall, I think the choice for Gandalf was the best and Liv Tyler for Arwen was the worst.

I find it odd that they cast Elijah Wood as someone who's supposed to be 50! I know he's a hobbit and would probably look younger at 50 than big people do, but still... a more mature Frodo might have been better, don't you think?
However, I did like Elijah's performance.
