June 24, 2002 Orcs: Again Ok. I never Mentioned Sauron being to stupid or unskilled to make better orcs. Also i Think that you get me wrong when i say that He couldn't make more powerful orcs. Note his orcs are already souped up, The were a lot better than the orcs of the mountains. I just think that Sauraman Made better ones (oh and you said the slave drivers were better orcs than Sauramans, where do you get that?) Because he wanted to either try to impress Sauron or show he was a greater mind. Sauron (espeacially without the ring) Could not improve more on the orcs (considering that he could not even create himself a body). Yes i Agree he had the ring he would have tried and probably succeeded. But my arguement was to say that Sauramans were the greater ones (I also think Sauron would have sent some of his superior orcs to get the ring, espeacially with Saruaman so near, note Grishnak or whatever his name was knew of the ring, this would require some rank and power to aquire that knowledge weather he was ment to have it or no.) And just by the fact of the only place to compare them is when Merry and Pip are held captive im using that info. Also i think you are right about Sauraman getting more credit from the movie. I always saw him as the person who dreamed of something and when he got it (or thought he did) found out it wasnt what he thought. |
